Your First Visit, Step by Step
1. Book: call 403-253-1248 or send an appointment request. We are open Monday, Thursday and Friday 7:30 to 5, and Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 to 8 for after-work visits. Families can often book back to back.
2. Fill in your forms: complete your patient forms ahead of time, or arrive about 10 minutes early.
3. Get to know you: we review your health history, medications and anything that worries you about your teeth or past dental visits.
4. A complete exam: teeth, gums, bite and an oral cancer screening, with x-rays when needed. Depending on your needs, your cleaning may happen at the same visit or a follow-up.
5. Your plan: we explain what looks healthy and what needs attention, separate what is urgent from what can wait, and give you a written estimate before any treatment.
Nervous or in pain?
Tell us when you book. We can go at your pace, talk you through each step and offer sedation options. If you have a toothache or broken tooth, we offer same-day emergency visits whenever possible, even if you are new to the clinic.

Your dental insurance details or CDCP member number, details of any government program you are covered by, a list of medications you take, and recent x-rays from another dentist if you have them. Bring your questions too.
What your first visit costs
We follow the 2026 Alberta Dental Fee Guide. A complete exam for a new adult patient is $143.85; for children it is $89.80 with only baby teeth or $122.35 with a mix of baby and adult teeth. X-rays are added when needed, for example $110.10 for four bitewing x-rays or $111.40 for a panoramic x-ray. Cleanings are priced by time; see our teeth cleaning page.

Paying for your care
We bill most insurance plans directly, as well as the Canadian Dental Care Plan and other government programs. Seniors receive a seniors discount, and we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, debit and cheques. Qualifying new patients can also get free take-home teeth whitening or 50% off Zoom in-office whitening; ask us for details.
