At Macleod Trail Dental, we value our relationships with our patients above all else and are proud to offer a well-established family dentistry service which offers health care services to promote oral hygiene for all members of your family. Our services range from caring for your child’s ‘first baby tooth’ to senior dental care, and everything that falls in between.

General Family Dentistry Services

Our general Calgary dentistry services encompass family dentistry, providing a wide range of treatments for the whole family. Some of these services include:

  • Dentistry for your Children – Using a positive and gentle approach, we teach your child about the importance of lifelong oral care through humour, patience and lots of love! We recommend bringing in your child for a dental visit as early as the age of one in order to create good hygiene habits and positive, long-lasting dental habits. We provide regular check ups, cleanings and nutritional advice to help keep your child’s smile bright, beautiful and healthy.
  • Dental Cleanings – As part of our general dentistry service, we offer dental cleaning for patients of all ages. At Macleod Trail Dental, we keep up to date with all the current techniques and equipment to brighten up those pearly whites! We provide a supportive, non-critical environment during these appointments, focusing on making your experience as comfortable as possible.
  • Emergency Dental Care – We see to it that we are always taking care of your oral health, even when you are not visiting us for an appointment. In the case of dental emergencies, we promise our patients same-day emergency care and urge you to call our office if you are experiencing a dental emergency such as:
    • A broken tooth
    • Lost fillings
      Bleeding or swollen gums
    • Jaw pain
  • Regular check ups – We encourage all of our patients to schedule regular check-ups so that we can ensure your oral health is on the right track. During the appointment, we will check for cavities, gum disease, any sign of infection or other problems that could affect your overall well being.

At Macleod Trail Dental, we believe in the power of regular dental checkups. Keeping up with your general dentistry visits can have enormous benefits for your oral health and your physical appearance.

  • Whiter teeth: We all want that beautiful white smile. Preventative oral care will ensure that you maintain the brightness of your teeth and regular cleanings can help by removing the stubborn plaque and any food stains that may be present.
  • Healthier teeth: Diligent care of your teeth means that they will be less susceptible to tooth decay. By scheduling regular appointments with our family dentistry team, you will suffer from fewer cavities, which in turn means fewer fillings. We find that this always makes our patients happy!
  • Avoid tooth loss: Serious tooth decay problems, which result from neglectful oral hygiene, can lead to bone and tooth loss. If your teeth decay to a certain point, the only dental solution maybe extraction and replacement with dental implants. By visiting our dentists regularly, we maybe able to catch these problems while they are still small, saving you the hassle that comes with dental pain and the high costs of advanced treatments.
  • Fresh breath: Bad breath is embarrassing and can make you severely self-conscious. Good dental hygiene and regular check-ups can help eliminate this frustrating problem and has been found to assist in career advancement and success in social situations.
  • Prevent serious health problems: New research indicates that tooth decay and gum disease are related to much more serious health issues such as heart disease, oral cancer and diabetes. Through scheduled visits, we will assess and track the changes in your oral health so that you will always have the peace of mind of a clean and healthy mouth.

Children’s Dentistry:

Dr. Silver and Associates are general dentists, not children’s dentist specialists. Children’s dentistry is not a term/specialty recognized by the Alberta Dental Association & College. A specialist in children is called a Pediatric dentist. Dr. Silver and Associates provide children’s dental procedures as part of their general dentist license. If the case requires a Pediatric dentist, we will refer you to one of our highly trusted Pediatric Dentists.

Our family dentistry team is privileged to be treating second and third generations of families. We aspire to provide you, your children and your loved ones with all the treatment options you need within a warm and caring environment.

It is our belief that quality dental care is not only determined by sophisticated and innovative dental technology but also through sincere, long-lasting relationships and we promise to always treat your family like it’s our own.
